Currently, our 5th grade boys basketball team, Blue Springs Blaze, are looking for 1-2 quality players that are interested in playing Spring basketball with our team! We have a few of our players playing other sports, so if that is the case with your son, I am willing to work with you around those possible conflicts.

The goal for the Spring season, is to play a few tournaments and league play which consists of 8-9 games. If you are interested and looking for a team to play with for the Spring season please reach out to Steve via text or email.

**Please only respond if your son has played competitive basketball recently, presently and is willing to partake in a system that requires good basketball IQ**
**This is strictly for Spring 2019 season only. Plans for the fall and winter seasons are still in the works and will be provided at a later date**

Kansas City Basketball Academy is boys and girls AAU Basketball club. The goal of the program is to prepare athletes for high school and college level competition while maintaining a high level of integrity and sportsmanship in their play.

We are conducting player evaluations for our girls programming on March 23rd & 24th at our facility (622 N. Main St. Independence, MO 64050).

4th grade girls wanted for new competitive team in Johnson County

We are looking for several girls to round out a 4th grade girls KC Premiere competitive team in Johnson County. We play weekly in league, at least one tournament a month, and practice twice a week, typically on the southern side of the Shawnee Mission School District. We are looking for 4th grade girls who are passionate about basketball! (We will consider skilled 3rd graders.) Team Name: KC Grizzlies 2027

We will be holding try outs on an individual basis. We are currently 36-5 for the 2018-2019 season playing 4th grade Division 1. We are looking to strengthen our roster and add a second team as well. We are an established team based out of Olathe, KS and we are interested in taking a look at any current 4th grader that has the skillset, drive and attitude to compete at this level. I’m Brandon Dean, currently looking for players to play for my comp team ( Kc Relentless). I currently have players who range from 6th to 8th grade, we are looking to play tournaments/ leagues throughout the spring and summer. We practice at Blue Springs South High School or at an Independence school. Right now I’m looking to try out kids and start practicing once a week as a few of my current players are wrapping up the other sports they are involved in.

A little about me:

• I’ve coached youth basketball the past 8 years

• Going on my 4th year as a high school football coach and track coach at Blue Springs South.

• Just wrapped up my 1st season, as the head sophomore boys basketball coach at Blue Springs South. We finished with a 14-2 record.

• 5 of the kids I’ve coached since 4th grade recently made the 8th-grade Independence School teams as 7th graders.
